Conference 2003

Excitement is building for MBUG 2003, and attendance is looking great. As of the latest count, we have 229 registered attendees - which includes 9 SCT representatives and 12 vendors. The Gulf Coast weathermen are promising good weather - with highs in the 60's. Thank you all for your interest and participation in the conference. We keep growing every year!

Dress for the conference

Official dress code for the conference is "business casual," with Tuesday designated as "Wear Your Colors" day. Show your school pride by wearing your favorite school attire, colors, or logo on Tuesday.

Driving Directions

From I-10, whether you are coming west from Mobile or east from Gulfport, take I-110 south to Highway 90. Go east on Highway 90 approximately 2 miles. The Grand Casino Bay-view Hotel will be on the left side of Highway 90. The casino is on the right side of Highway 90. For those of you who may not have rooms at the Grand, Casino Magic and the Isle of Capri are both east of the Grand on the right side of Highway 90.

Birds of a Feather Sessions

In order for the birds of a feather sessions to be their best, we need your questions, problems - or maybe even "helpful hints" in advance. Please take a few minutes to email your questions or comments to the appropriate track leader. Track leaders are:

Other Notes of Interest

Make sure to bring plenty of business cards to share with others. Sharing information and helpful hints with your counterparts at other schools is often one of the most long-lasting benefits of the conference. We will have a laminating machine to make luggage tags using your business cards, so bring enough for that also.

Of course, we always look forward to the door prizes! If you have prizes to donate, get them to your school's representative so they can bring them down on Saturday.

Who should Attend?

Any functional user and/or technical staff responsible for Banner systems at any Mississippi community college or institution of higher learning. This year we welcome institutions from other states who will be joining us for the conference!

Registration Information:

Conference fee is $65.00 per attendee. Meals included are Monday (breakfast and dinner), and Tuesday (breakfast).
The registration deadline is February 7, 2003.
A $10.00 late registration fee will be charged for any registration forms/fees received after that date.
Guest fee for Monday evening dinner is $35.00
Non-member (out-of-state institution or non-dues paying MS institution) registration fee is $100.00.
There will be a Welcome Reception Sunday evening sponsored, in part, by Howard Computers.
