2009 Conference

the Natchez Convention Center
Deadline for Registration: August 31, 2009
(after this date a late fee will be charged and rooms are not guaranteed at Natchez Grand Hotel)

The Natchez Grand Hotel is the host hotel for MBUG 2009. It is a new facility overlooking the beautiful Mississippi River. The historic Eola Hotel is the overflow hotel.

As always, we need user participation to make our conference as informative as possible. If you would like to make a presentation, please contact Marilyn Sauls, Edith Riley, or Angie Miller.

General Information:

  • Conference registration deadline is August 31, 2009. The registration form can be printed off by clicking the following link 2009 Registration Form. In the past, we have had problems getting all registration forms and fees in by the deadline date.  Please be conscientious of this deadline. All registration received after the deadline date will be considered late registration.  On-site registration cannot be paid by credit card.

    Conference Fees:

    MEMBERS: $100.00 registration fee per MBUG member
    NON-MEMBERS: $150.00 registration fee per non MBUG member
    LATE FEE: $25.00 late fee applies after August 31, 2009
    GUEST FEE: $75.00

  • Hotel room rates are $128.00/night, single/double at either hotel. To be exempt from all taxes, you must present a copy of your institution's MS Tax Exemption letter and you must pay with a school check or school issued credit card. No personal form of payment is tax exempt - this includes cash. All hotel reservations must be made by August 31, 2009.

    Reservations can be made by calling and identifying yourself as being with MBUG - MS Banner Users Group - to receive the discounted room rates.

    Both hotels are within a short walking distance of the convention center.
    Check-in time will be 4:00 p.m.

  • The special event this year has been moved to Sunday evening, 6:30-8:30 p.m. We will gather for an evening of fun, food and fellowship at Dunleith - a historical antebellum home in Natchez. Your breath will be taken away the moment you lay eyes on this magnificent Greek Revival Mansion. Dunleith is an indelible icon and truly represents all that history encompasses in Natchez. Tours of the home will be available. Heavy hor'dorves will be served.

  • Monday evening will be free time on your own. Several establishments around town will be open for your entertainment - and of course, shopping centers are nearby.

  • The guest speaker for Monday’s luncheon will be Mr. Clyde Ray Weber, a local humorist. Mr. Weber is a Clerk of Court in Concordia Parish, LA and very well known in the area.

  • Please indicate on your registration form if you plan to bring a guest to either the reception or luncheon and include a $75.00 guest fee.
